As we age, our bodies and our boobs change. It’s just part of life.

When I decided to write this article, I conducted a poll on my Private Facebook group, The Midlife Girl Tribe, asking them just that.
Many older gals said they hated bras and wished they never had to wear them. Some said they no longer wear bras! And I say, more power to ya!

Comfort is the number one concern for most older women. After wearing uncomfortable bras for years, comfort is key. (I could not agree more!)

Cups. Cup sizes range from: The cup sizes range from AA (smallest) to H (largest)
Band. Band size or chest sizes range from about 30 to 40 inches. This is the measurement in inches around the chest at the fullest part of the bust)
Side panel-Side support panels are also known as side wings; the purpose of the side panel sides support breath tissue.
Straps– Straps act as an anchor for the bra. Look for adjustable straps. In addition, wide straps, and padded straps can add additional comfort.
Underwire– Underwires are usually metal and inserted under the cup seams. Love or hate them, underwires offer great lift and support.
Closure– There are two main types of closure hook and eye on the back and front clasp closures.
Many older women prefer front-closure bras for easy on and off, especially if they have limited shoulder movement.

It’s a good idea to get a professional fitting, and like many, I discovered I had been wearing the wrong bra.
